Photo by Andrew Collings.Daniel Pappano is an associate attorney with Smith, Hemmesch, Burke & Kaczynski.  He practices in the areas of real estate taxation and real estate litigation.

Daniel graduated from Fordham University in 2008, earning a B.A. in political science.  Daniel received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2012, where he earned a Certificate in Tax Law and a Certificate in Trial Advocacy.  While he was in law school, Daniel clerked for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in the Gangs Prosecutions Unit.  In 2013, he received his L.L.M in Taxation from Northwestern University School of Law where he focused on federal taxation of corporations and partnerships.

Prior to joining the firm, Daniel was a solo practitioner focusing on insurance subrogation defense litigation, real estate law, and estate planning.  Daniel is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association.  Daniel is a lifelong Chicagoland resident and presently resides in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago.
